Katherine Echo Kim, D.Ac., L.Ac. is a senior-level doctor of acupuncture with 24 years of clinical expertise. She is a pioneering researcher in how acupuncture extends beyond the body into the built environment. Dr. Kim works from the understanding that the body and environment are interrelated and diagnostically mutually influential.

Acupuncture, AcuNutrition & Integrative Medicine

Dr. Kim's specialty emerges from nearly three decades of clinical practice guiding thousands of patients through major health and lifestyle transitions. Rather than treating isolated symptoms such as a tennis elbow or runner’s knee alone, she practices a whole-person, multi-systems-based, holistic medicine that includes learning more about the client's: ergonomics, daily lifestyle habits, sleep hygiene, nutrition, functional well-being, relationships, and lived experiences at home, work, or school. This highly integrative approach allows Dr. Kim to get to know her clients better -- both somatically (body) and spatially (environment) -- to provide in-depth, tailored care.

Environmental Design & Feng Shui

Prior to Dr. Kim becoming the founder of AcuTecture™, she studied with many of the leading feng shui experts in North America and became a certified feng shui consultant in 2000, graduating from the inaugural class of LIFSI. Since then, Dr. Kim has developed her signature methodology, integrating multiple branches of medical insight, clinical counseling, environmental health, spatial psychology, and therapeutic feng shui. She delivers precise, acupuncture-like interventions within residential and commercial environments for families and businesses alike.

Dr. Kim is known for her highly intuitive ability to read environmental patterns. Her analytical interpretations help to optimize spatial use, energetic flow, and occupants' relational experiences to their spaces. 

Artificial Intelligence

Dr. Kim serves on the NCCAOM Artificial Intelligence Taskforce, where she advises on ethical adoption of AI in healthcare and education, contributing to national policy governance for the acupuncture and herbal medicine professions in North America.
