FAQ about Acupuncture sessions

What should I bring for acupuncture? 

• Pls text us your completed New Patient Paperwork in advance.
• Current photo ID and preferred payment method (credit card or cash)

What should I wear? 

• Clients will be discreetly draped at all times.
• Wear or bring loose/unrestrictive clothing like shorts or tank tops. 
• Undergarments are worn during treatments. Nudity in the clinic is prohibited. 

What should I do before the session?

• We are a fragrance-free office. Please avoid wearing essential oils or perfume to the clinic. 
• We ask you to refrain from stimulants ie caffeine, alcohol, CBD, THC, microdosing, muscle relaxers, or cortisone shots right before your visit. 
• It's best to eat lightly beforehand. 
• Please hydrate before and after your treatment.
• It's best to schedule PT or chiropractic, etc on other days and allow at least 1-2 days of rest between all sessions to properly recover. 

Q: What happens at the first session?

We will greet you and discuss your completed intake form with you. We'll ask about your health, lifestyle, family history, and wellness goals. Questions are welcome. We'll take all this information into consideration when customizing a treatment for you. A treatment will be provided during the first visit. Many people find acupuncture treatment deeply relaxing and soothing. Patients often fall asleep for a short time during the session. 

Q: How long is a first session?

About an hour.

Q: How long is a follow-up session?

40-50 mins. It is important to arrive on-time.
